Irasshaimase!
Night out with friends? Or a good family meal? Try shabu shabu! A traditional nabemono Japanese dish where thinly sliced meat and vegetables are openly cooked in tabletop stainless hot pots and grills right in front of you.
If you want to try a different dining experience perfect for shared time with families and friends, head to The Lotus Garden Asian Fusion Restaurant at Funland Eco-Amusement Park. Located near Robinsons Place in Barangay San Manuel, they offer an all-you-can-eat shabu shabu for only P595 for adults and P300 for children below 14 years old.
The offer lets you have unlimited shabu shabu — slices of premium pork belly and seafood meat, sushi and sashimi, side dishes, drinks, and for dessert, unlimited ice cream — in a setting that bears vivid resemblance to Japan’s popular Izakaya casual pubs.

Lotus Garden also provides clients with the zashiki experience — having your meals on low tables called chabudai with floor recesses for leg relaxation.
“Here you can have shabu shabu, drink, and ice cream all-you-want in a relaxed atmosphere with families and friends. Celebrate special occasions privately here because our place can accommodate groups of friends or families. Ito ang pinaka-offer ni Lotus Garden with variants of pork, chicken, shrimp, squid, and then veggies,” said the Asian fusion restaurant’s administrator Farra Socrates Bandola.
Lotus Garden, formerly located along Rizal Avenue, offers this simple dish that can let you have the freshness and distinctive taste when grilled or boiled in a seasoned broth and dipped in sauces.
Socrates said that the great thing about their restaurant is their unlimited serving of side dishes of mixed vegetables, kimchi, seaweed (lato) salad, sashimi, and sushi that perfectly goes with shabu shabu.

Open from 6 p.m. til 2 a.m., Monday to Sunday, The Lotus Garden Asian Fusion Restaurant takes last orders at 1 a.m. which makes it a good place for individuals who come out of work late or are habitually active at night.
The whole hot pot fare will arrive on your chabudai with the restaurant’s waitstaff clad in customary kimono to accomplish the whole feel of the Japanese dining experience.
“Magugustuhan mo siya kasi fresh ‘yong mga ingredients na nilalagay, malasa siya, kaayaaya tingnan ‘yong presentation niya, and the good service that the restaurant provides to its customers one-to-sawa. We have servers dressed in the traditional Japanese kimono to give the whole feel of the dining experience. Ang kagandahan, pati drinks unlimited,” Bandola added.
She also said that customers are free to select from an array of beef loin, pork belly, shrimp, calamari and available veggies.
“’Yong ingredients na gusto mong i-se-serve sa inyo, you can request na kung gusto mo beef lang para sa mga ayaw ng seafood,” she said.

Socrates said that they also serve their shabu shabu with slices of a “one-of-a-kind” sausage that’s customized for Lotus Garden by its supplier.
It’s specifically made for them by a foreigner who uses spices and imported herbs to enhance the sausage’s flavors diversely from those sold in supermarkets.
Mabelle Breman, Lotus Garden’s line manager, said that the place can accommodate around 40 guests at once with enough space to still maintain privacy.
They accept reservations for private birthday parties, small family celebrations, and groups of friends out on a reunion who simply want to have a special time together.
“Shabu shabu is an ideal choice for a delicious meal that’s easy to make and even easier to eat with family and friends. Try our eat-and-drink-all-you-can offer at Lotus Garden here at Funland and treat yourself to the most exciting shabu shabu,” Breman said.
