The City Council has urged Mayor Lucilo Bayron to allocate land for the establishment of a police station in Barangay Napsan.

City councilor Victor Oliveros said that Puerto Princesa City Police Office (PPCPO) director P/Col. Marion Balonglong has agreed to establish a station in the area on the request of the City Council provided that there will be a land to be used.

“Kung maalala ninyo, we have passed a resolution requesting City PNP to establish a station in Napsan  [for additional security purposes]. They also agreed, however, they are requesting a location for their office,” he said.

Councilor Elgin Damasco also proposed that the station should be put up beside the satellite city hall.

He said it would be more accessible to the residents if the station is beside the most visited area.
