The intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) will prevail as the dominant weather system in the next two to three days, expecting to bring rain showers in some of the country’s landmass, said state weather bureau.

Weather specialist Loriedin dela Cruz of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said that rain showers will be experienced mostly in large portions of Luzon.

MIMAROPA region will observe cloudy skies and rain showers throughout the day, she said.

“ITCZ pa rin ang weather system na nakakaapekto sa bansa at sa ngayon nga ay nagdudulot ‘yan ng pag-ulan sa malaking bahagi ng Luzon— malaki ang tiyansa na mag-prevail pa rin o maging dominant weather system sa atin in the next two to three days,” she said on Monday forecast.

PAGASA added that there is no storm that might enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) in the next 24 to 36 hours.

The northern part of northern Luzon and the eastern part of Luzon will experience moderate sea condition.

While the waters surrounding the province of Palawan and the rest of the country’s seaboards are at slight to moderate sea condition, she said.
