Government employees, including the Department of Education (DepEd) teaching, teaching-related, and non-teaching personnel, will receive P10,000 worth of Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) starting December 20.

In a Facebook post of Undersecretary and DepEd spokesperson Annalyn Sevilla, Wednesday said the incentive has already been made official under Administrative Order No. 19, series of 2019.

“Now it is official! DepEd will implement and process the payment for Service Recognition Incentive for qualified recipients (teaching, teaching-related and non-teaching personnel) not earlier than December 20,” Sevilla said.

Attached to her post is a copy of the administrative order “authorizing the granting of service recognition incentive to government employees for the fiscal year 2019” issued by Malacañang.

The copy of the administrative order has a note which authorizes Sevilla to implement the release of the incentives.

The administrative order covers all government employees from national agencies, state universities and colleges, uniformed personnel and the local government.

The amount of the incentive is determined by the category where recipients fall. In the case of DepEd, it falls under National Government Agency (NGA), NGAs along with SUCs, military and uniformed personnel.
