The Civil Service Commission announced on Sunday that all government offices may close at 2 p.m. on September 23 to commemorate the 27th National Family Week dubbed as “Tungo sa maginhawa, matatag, at panatag na pamilyang Pilipino”.

All government agencies, state universities and colleges are encouraged to fully support the simultaneous ringing of bells at 12 noon and 8 a.m. on the same day as a sign of the sup

port to Filipino family.

“On September 23, government agencies may dismiss their employees at 2 p.m. from work to encourage them to spend meal time with their families,” the announcement said.

The family day is observed pursuant to the Presidential Proclamation 60, series of 1992.
