A person wanted for rape and sexual assault was arrested in Purok Bagong Silang, Brgy. Magara, Roxas, northern Palawan, Tuesday afternoon.

The suspect was identified as Mario Cerapica Planas, a 59-year old married farmer.

The Roxas Municipal Police Station arrested Planas based on the warrant dated April 8, 2019, issued by Hon. Judge Emmanuel Artazo of Branch 95 of the Regional Trial Court in Puerto Princesa City.

A bail bond of P200, 000 for each count has been recommended.

Planas has been detained at the Roxas Municipal Police Station.
