The office of Rep. Gil P. Acosta (3rd District, Palawan) is offering free livestock training for 25 interested applicants.

Acosta’s district office said that the training will be provided in partnership with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).

Under the program, they will offer Organic Hog raising NC II for those who will qualify the necessary skills to grow livestock such as goats, carabaos, cows and pigs.

“Ang scholarship training na ito ay may kaukulang bilang lamang na 25 participants na maaaring magkaroon ng karagdagang kaalaman sa pag-aalaga ng mga hayop katulad ng baboy,” the statement said.

The training is in coordination with Yamang Bukid Farm as a training and venue provider.

Aside from this, Acosta is also offering a livestock livelihood program for the residents of Puerto Princesa City and the town of Aborlan.

Kabarangay JR Livelihood Program is a program of former Rep. Gil Acosta Sr. and continued by Rep. Gil Acosta Jr.

Under the program, the beneficiaries will receive a swine while the livelihood program will get two piglets that will be distributed to other beneficiaries.

“Binibigyan ng babaeng biik ang benepisaryo hanggang sa maging inahin ito at manganak. Kapag nanganak na ang baboy, bibigyan ang livelihood program ng dalawang babaeng biik para ipamahagi muli sa mga bagong benepisaryo,” the news statement said.

All interested applicants may visit the Tourism Center at Rizal Ave. corner Abrea St. Barangay Bancao-Bancao.
