A food server died in a vehicular accident Monday afternoon along the national highway in Barangay Malatgao, Quezon.
Quezon Municipal Police Station (MPS) officer-in-charge P/Maj. Lodell Lota said two others were also injured — a six-year-old passenger and the suspect.
Lota identified the victim as Rey Catingub, 30, a food server and the driver of a TMX 125 motorcycle.
The suspect, on the other hand, was named as Ramsoy Abdurajak Caria, 18, the driver of the Kawasaki Bajah from Rizal municipality. He was also hospitalized for injuries suffered during the accident.
Lota said their initial investigation said that Catingub with his six-year-old child was going through the national highway in a blind curve from the south direction to Malatgao when Caria’s speeding motorcycle suddenly appeared from the opposite direction.
Caria reportedly lost control of his motorcycle and occupied the other lane before colliding with the victim.
