A 68-year old fisherman was found dead Saturday along the coast of Sitio Ombo, Barangay New Canipo, San Vicente, a municipal police report said.
Plantagaan, a resident of Purok 4, Barangay Sto. Niño in the same town.
The report said that the San Vicente Municipal Police Station (MPS) received a call around 12 p.m. from a barangay councilor informing that his body was found floating and lifeless along the shore.
Before he was found dead, Plantagaan reportedly went out to sea to catch fish using his paddle boat within the vicinity of Sto. Niño and New Canipo.
Around 9 a.m., his body was found by other fishermen lying between stones. His paddle boat was found 40 meters away from him.
Initial examination of his body did not see any sign of injury or wound. Follow up investigation is now being conducted.
