A fish vendor was arrested for illegal drugs in Sitio Abubakar, Brgy. Calasaguen, Brooke’s Point town on Saturday afternoon.
The suspect was identified in a police report as Ona Edjing Maddian, 39-years old, married and a local resident.
The buy-bust operation was conducted by the joint personnel of Brooke’s Point Municipal Police Station (MPS) and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).
Recovered from the suspect was one piece of a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu’, P8,935., drug paraphernalia, one piece coin purse wallet, one packed Fort cigarette, one unit Nokia cellphone, one unit yellow Euro motorcycle.
The suspect is facing a charge for violation of RA 9165 and currently detained at the custodial facility of the Brooke’s Point Municipal Police Station.
