3rd District Rep. Gil Acosta Jr.’s office, in collaboration with DIWA Partylist and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), provided financial support to about 520 beneficiaries of the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS).
Barangays with high instances of COVID-19 and those impacted by the recent harsh lockdown were among the prioritized recipients, according to Kabarangay information officer Agnes Acosta-Magdaug.
She said that their office assisted in the facilitation of the program, including the identification of beneficiaries to be referred to the DSWD for validation.
Each beneficiary received P2,000 from the P1 million fund of Rep. Mike Aglipay of DIWA Partylist.
“Yong sa DIWA nagbigay sila ng one million sa district, tapos kami na lang ang tumulong maghanap ng beneficiaries,” she said. The number of the beneficiaries were recorded as of June 30.
The assistance will be used for the daily needs of the families.
