SOFRONIO ESPAÑOLA,Palawan — Rice farmers in this town have received their one-time financial assistance from the Department of Agriculture (DA) under the Financial Subsidy to Rice Farmers (FSRF).

FSRF distributed P5,000 each or a total of P4,090,000 Monday to around 818 rice farmers in cooperation with the Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP).

Supe said the DA provided assistance to eligible farmers across the country who own less than one hectare of rice farms and did not receive from the Rice Farmers Financial Assistance (RFFA).

The one-time financial assistance of P5,000 each is granted to rice farmers tilling farms with areas of 0.5 to two (2) hectares under the DA’s Rice Farmer Financial Assistance (RFFA) program, and those tilling farms one (1) hectare or less, under the DA’s Financial Subsidy to Rice Farmers (FSRF) initiative.
