Farmer nabbed for illegal possession of firearm

A 52-year old farmer from Barangay Barotoan, El Nido was arrested Monday for illegal possession of a shotgun.

Police Col. Socrates Faltado, spokesperson of the MIMAROPA Police Regional Office, identified the suspect as Rommy Tayco Francisco, a local resident.

Seized from Tayco was a home-made shotgun with three rounds of live ammunition.

The suspect was detained at the El Nido MPS station.
