EL NIDO, Palawan – This town’s civil registry office is conducting a mobile registration and barangay profiling activity in its remote barangays.

The activity is in line with this month’s National Civil Registry celebration with the theme “Shaping Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) by Embracing New Trends in the 4th Industrial Revolution.”

Municipal civil registrar Ronelio Buna told Palawan News they are presently focusing on Barangays Manlag, Mabini and Pasadeña.

“Nakakalungkot pero marami ang hindi rehistrado sa bayan,” he said.

Buna urged local residents to avail of their mobile services.

“Naka-schedule na ang ating pagbisita sa kani-kanilang barangay although may naumpisahan na din tayo. Sana iparehistro nila ang kanilang mga anak at mga namatay nilang mga pamilya,“ Buna said.

Buna added that they will conduct an information campaign in different schools on the importance of civil registration and other important documents like Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) records, petitions for correction of entries, records requests, among others.
