A hardware store in El Nido was robbed of P300,000 in cash by two suspects on Saturday morning.

P/Capt. Ric Ramos, the spokesperson of the Palawan Provincial Police Office (PPO), identified the suspects as Denmark “Dencio” Balitostos and a certain Red Red Grapil.

The victims were couple Alex and Lorna Carandang.

Alex reported the incident to the El Nido Municipal Police Station (MPS) at about 4 p.m. on August 3.

Alex said that at about 5 a.m., he and Lorna asked the suspects to look after their hardware store located at Barangay Bucana, El Nido because they will be attending the worship service in their church.

At around 8:30 a.m., the victims went back to the hardware store and noticed that the chain locks of the first and second doors were broken.

They immediately proceeded to the counter’s drawer and discovered that their money was missing.

The suspects immediately fled the scene and the local police station is on their job to locate them.
