The Department of Trade and Industry- Small Business Corporation (DTI-SBC) has made a pitch during the Baragatan celebration to look for additional conduits in its Pondo para sa Pagbabago at Pag-asenso, a lending program of the government.
During the recent Trabaho, Negosyo at Kabuhayan on Thursday held at the provincial capitol, P3 was presented to 300 participants including businessmen, prospective conduit coops, and consumers.The activity was part of the celebration of Baragatan Festival that will culminate on June 23, 2018.
Marcelino Dile, Palawan desk officer of DTI-SBC, said that this is part of their intensive dissemination of information so that coops and prospective partners will be aware of the government’s effort to help micro-entrepreneurs and businessmen by providing them loans to conduit coop at only 2.5 percent monthly interest rates.
“Meron kasi tayong target na e-release sa isang taon para sa programa ng P3 kaya ipinapaabot natin ang information sa mga cooperatives at mga grupo na engaged lending na pwede nating ma-partner,” he said.
Dile further said that he visited several municipalities in Palawan to link with prospective partner like his recent visit in Taytay town, where there are three prospective partner that he assessed, including a cooperative in Barangay Liminangcong in Taytay town.
The activity on Thursday also included the ceremonial turnover of checks to the three conduit cooperatives of DTI-SBC in Palawan which is an irrigators association in Narra, an employees cooperative in Roxas and a cooperative based in Puerto Princesa City.
