The regional field office of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has issued an apology to the beneficiaries of the government’s Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) for the delay of their payouts.

The DSWD in the region issued the apology on Friday through a statement sent to Palawan News, claiming the delay since March 2019 was because the contracts of partner conduits of the Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP) had already expired.

“After a series of meetings and bidding, it has been announced that the National Confederation of Cooperatives (NATCCO) will take charge in helping the LBP in the distribution of payouts starting September 4 to 27, 2019.

4Ps beneficiaries will receive their grants covering the months of December 2018 to May 2019 with a total of P1,468,325,100 to be released to the 168,526 number of household beneficiaries in the region,” it said in the statement.

The payout will only serve those 4Ps beneficiaries who do not yet have LBP EMV cards or First Consolidated Bank (FCB) Pitakards since beneficiaries with cash cards have already received their cash grants last August, the DSWD MIMAROPA said.
