Dominant sunny weather will be experienced in Palawan during the Holy Week and the condition of the sea will be suitable for beach outings, the local office of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
Local weather bureau chief Sonny Pajarilla said it will be sunny with isolated rain showers in the afternoon, especially in elevated areas such as mountains.
“Mainit tayo, partly cloudy, isolated rain showers bandang hapon pero dominant na magiging mainit, huwag mag-expose sa init ng araw para di ma-exhaustion, medyo mag-inom-inom lagi ng tubig, magpunas ng pawis kasi napakainit sa ating pakiramdam, maalinsangan at huwag magsuot ng dark colors, dapat light colors para fresh, ang white primarily mataas ang albedo,” he stressed.
PAGASA is continuously reminding the public to drink plenty of water and avoid direct exposure to the sun. Wearing light-colored clothes will help to give a relaxing feeling during humid temperature experienced.
He added that there is nothing to worry about the condition of the seas as it will be light to moderate.
Putting sunblock and bringing umbrellas would help to avoid having sunburns that could damage the skin.
“Wala tayong dapat ipangamba sa ating karagatan, sa mga gustong mag-beach ay maayos na maayos hanggang next week, Holy Week, pupuwede yan. ‘Yon nga lang talagang magdala ng sunblock kaya magdala ng payong, ugaliin mag-sunblock kasi magkakaroon tayo ng sunburn matindi yong init ng araw,” he added.
