The Department of Health (DOH) recenty donated a sea ambulance to the island town of Balabac.

House Rep. Frederick Abueg (2nd district), who facilitated the donation, said Monday that the sea ambulance will be used for medical emergencies of the province’s southernmost town.

The sea craft costs P5 million, including all its equipment. It is 29 feet long and has a speed of around 20 knots with a capacity to transport eight persons and space enough for one patient.

Earlier, Abueg said the DOH also gave an ambulance for each of the towns in   southern Palawan.

The formal turn over of the sea ambulance is still being finalized.
