Palawan Provincial Health Office (PHO) chief Dr. Mary Ann Navarro is calling on municipal councilors who attended the February 26 convention of the Philippine Councilors League (PCL) in Manila to do home quarantine for 14 days after two were confined at the Culion Sanitarium General Hospital for possible COVID-19.

Navarro made the call Saturday during a meeting of the Interagency Task Force (IATF) on COVID-19 at the Provincial Capitol presided by Governor Jose Alvarez.

In fact, she said all individuals who recently traveled to other places, including Manila, should do home quarantining to observe themselves.

“Home quarantine tayo.

She said that persons who will observe mild symptoms may also undergo self-quarantine.

COVID-19 is characterized by mild symptoms, including runny nose, sore throat, cough, and fever, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).
