School heads of the local Department of Education (DepEd) will sail to Cuyo town before the end of the month for an executive conference to discuss current updates in the provision of quality education in the province.
DepEd-Palawan information officer Daisy Anne Atrero said on Thursday around 800 of them will go to Cuyo on July 26-29, where the executive conference will happen for the first time outside Puerto Princesa.
She said the executive conference will coincide with Cuyo’s celebration of the 115th Founding Anniversary of the School’s Division of DepEd that was first established in the municipality.
The attendees will be composed of superintendents and supervisors of the provincial DepEd, who will discuss updates from their national office.
“The division office regularly calls our school heads, number one for the dissemination of information, updates, issuances, mag-relay ng mga information galing sa taas dahil we want to make sure na we are singing the same tune,” said Atrero to Palawan News.
She said it will be the first time that school heads will participate in the executive conference outside the city.
Atrero added the section chiefs and program managers will give updates and reports on the projects during the activity. The number of enrollees will also be tracked and monitored through the reports of participating school heads.
“We want to make sure na ang aming mga school heads ay tama ang kanilang ginagawa at in line with DepEd policies,” Atrero added.
