Teaching and non-teaching personnel and staff of the Department of Education (DepEd) schools division in the province have received their salaries and clothing allowances early to support their needs during the quarantine.

Grace Estefano, division information officer, confirmed to Palawan News that on April 1 and 2, the personnel of the division have already received their salaries for the month and P6,000 clothing allowance.

She added that normally the schedule of release for the salary is every third week or onwards of the month, while the clothing allowance was scheduled not as early as it was released.

Estefano said that it is an aide for the personnel in times like this where they needed money. But she also reminded that the money should be used wisely based on what they have learned in financial literacy.

Estefano also mentioned that the division foresaw the possible effects of the health crisis and tried to finish all necessary documents required for the salaries of teaching and non-teaching personnel.
