Demaala is richest board member

Councilor’s League President and Ex-Officio Board Member Clarito Demaala IV is the richest elected official in the Provincial Board, according to the summary of the Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net worth (SALN) obtained by Palawan News.

Demaala declared a net worth of P49,465,452 as of December 31, 2017, with P55,300,200 personal property assets and P5,834,748 liabilities.

Following Demaala with the highest net worth is Liga ng Barangay President and Ex-Officio Board Member Dennis Sabando with P16,839,938 and Board Member Eduardo Modesto Rodriguez with P15,839,061.

The three next richest elected officials of the Provincial Board based on the report shows Board Member Sunny Batul with P5,594,000; Board Member David Francis Ponce De Leon with P4,437,000; Board Member Leoncio Ola with P3,383,200; and Board Member Sharon Abiog-Onda with P3,217, 755.

Board members with the least net worth included Board Member Marivic Roxas with P2,872,856, followed by Board Member Winston Arzaga with P2,295,000, Board Member Cherry Pie Acosta with P1,665,427, Board Member Roseller Pineda with P1,387,000 and Board Member Albert Rama with P1,219,000.

Vice Governor Victorino Dennis Socrates declared a P4,781,002 total net worth.

The SALN report of all elected officials was furnished to Palawan News by the Provincial Human Resources and Management Office (PHRMO) of the provincial government.

Republic Act 6713 or the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees of the 1987 Constitution requires every elected official of the Philippines to submit their SALN report within 30 days after assuming the position, on or before April 30 every following year, and within 30 days after separation from service.
