Delta P joins estero clean-up drive

Delta P employees with the DENR and the Sta. Lourdes Barangay Council

Power company Delta P Inc. has joined other private companies in the Department of Environment and Natural Resources’ (DENR) campaign, dubbed Adopt an Estero Clean Up, designed to open up clogged waterways.

As the department kicked of the commemoration of the environment month last June 29, company officials and employees helped clean up an estero near the Solid Waste Management Office in Bgy. Sta. Lourdes, bagging at least 10 sacks of garbage.

Joining Delta P were other private companies including Microtel and Toyota as well as officials and volunteers from Barangay Sta. Lourdes.

“Our company’s effort in supporting the DENR in its environmental cleanliness programs is our response to the call for environmental awareness. We share in the responsibilities of preserving our environment,” Darius S. Beltran, Pollution Control Officer of Delta P, said.

Beltran also said the company has been conducting similar activities as part of its corporate social responsibility program since 2012.
