Controversial Narra mayor Gerandy Danao has filed administrative charges against ex-mayor Lucena Demaala, vice mayor Crispin Lumba, members of the Sangguniang Bayan of his town, and three provincial board members.
Mayor Danao said Monday in a press conference that the recent charges against him prompted him to file dereliction of duty, grave misconduct, gross negligence, and violation of Section 3 of Republic Act 3019 or the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act against each of the respondents at the Palawan provincial board.
On May 18, Lumba and the municipal council filed three separate administrative charges against Danao for grave misconduct, gross negligence, and conduct prejudicial to the best interest of service.
The cases involved the alleged procedural lapses in executive decisions performed by Danao, including the granting of a cockpit permit to an individual and late filing of the townās budget ordinance.

The three provincial board members facing administrative violations before the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) are board members Ryan Maminta, Ferdinand Zaballa, and Prince Demaala IV.
The same charges will also be filed in the Ombudsman against ex-mayor Demaala.
Referring to governor Jose Chaves Alvarez’s earlier statement offering help to him, he said he will meet with him but did not close when.
Danao is set to have his State of the Municipal Address (SOCA) on June 19.
