Culion officials no show at Provincial Board’s Q & A on C3 issue

Board member Ponce de Leon wants provincial IT unit to create a computer app for boarding house seekers

The local officials of the Municipality of Culion led by Mayor Emiliano P. Marasigan Jr. failed to appear before the Sangguniang Panlalawigan’s Question-and-Answer Hour regarding the alleged networking scam by the C3 group world funder.

Vice Mayor Patricia C. Hilao and Municipal Social Welfare Development Officer Candelaria Regodon were also no show to the Q&A as requested by the Provincial Board to shed lights on the scam issue and in aid of legislation.

It is recalled that the Provincial Board is alarmed because of the alleged scam thru recruitment of people who will pay for P200 in exchange of possibility of getting $1,000 or equivalent to almost       P47,000.00.

According to Board Member Winston Arzaga, Mayor Marasigan and Vice Mayor Hilao informed the Board that they will not be able to attend because of “late notice”. MSWDO Regodon on the other hand is not available.

Since the Board is not giving up on the issue, the Q&A was re-scheduled on February 23, 2016. This time, the Board invited personnel from National Bureau of Investigation(NBI) and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG).
