The Culion production team and the cast celebrated the inclusion of the movie in the final list of 2019 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) in a thanksgiving party on October 19, Saturday.
Executive producer Gillie Sing told Palawan News that they decided to have a thanksgiving party in appreciation of the dedication shown by the members of the production team, from crew to cast, during the entire production of the movie.
She disclosed that the cast and crew did not show any apprehension to travel to Culion for the shooting.
“Ang kagandahan lang kasi itong cast namin at crew, matapang sila, kaya nakakatuwa. Sabi ko gawa talaga tayo ng thanksgiving party because never ko narinig sa kanila, sa kanilang lahat na takot sila pumunta,” she said.
She said that during the announcement of the 8 entries that qualified to the MMFF, the clip they showed was not yet the output of post-production.
Present in the thanksgiving were the producers of the movie, director Alvin Yap and lead actors Iza Calzado, Jasmine Curtis-Smith, Meryll Soriano joined the party.
She said the premier night in Manila will tentatively be on December 21.
One of their plans is to show the movie to the people of Culion.
