A couple was arrested in a buy-bust operation at Palanca Road, Barangay Model on Friday morning.
Three sachets of a white crystalline substance believed to be “shabu” were recovered from the suspects identified as Anthony Velarde and Christina Jamora Guanco, both residents of Brgy. Sta. Monica.
The suspects denied that they owned the drugs inside their bag.
“Sa amin ang bag pero hindi ang drugs, napag-utusan lang kami na iabot ‘yon,” Velarde said.
The operation was conducted by Puerto Princesa City Police Office Station 1 in front of East Central School.
A violation of Republic Act 9165 or Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspects.
