The Coral Bay Nickel Corporation (CBNC) plans to visit schools in Palawan as part of its program to educate the youth about the company and its contribution to society.
Ernesto Llacuna, community relations manager of CBNC, said this after the visit of 65 students and faculty of the Pulot National High School (PNHS) on March 21.
The school is the grand winner of the quiz bowl sponsored by the CBNC last year in partnership with the Philippine Institute of Chemical Engineers (PICE) and the Department of Education ( DepEd)-Palawan Division.
Llacuna said the school was given an educational tour and an orientation about CBNC, its safety, environment, and community development programs.
“We are glad that Pulot National High School has initiated this visit. It is also in our plan to visit every school in Palawan as much as possible for us to share and inform what is CBNC and what it does,” he said.
He also added they welcome schools and other groups that wish to know about their facilities and its programs.
Interested groups can submit their requests early so that facilities can be made available and prepared for tours.
“They are welcome just as long as they submit a request ahead of time para ma-prepare ang ating mga facilities at activities for them,” he said.
