A 19-year-old resident of Quezon municipality was arrested by the police for stealing a Honda XRM 125 motorcycle Friday afternoon.

A spot report sent to Palawan News by Police Regional Office (PRO) spokesperson P/Col. Socrates Faltado identified the suspect as Gerald M. Salioman from Barangay Pinaglabanan, Quezon, while the victim was named as fisherman Daniel F. Fabian, 63, a resident of Brgy. Alfonso XIII in the same municipality.

Fabian reported to the Quezon police on August 30 that his motorcycle was stolen on August 24 in front of a bakery in the poblacion by an unidentified suspect.

However, he said he saw his stolen motorcycle at Sitio Panibugon in Brgy. Malatgao in the possession of a man whom he identified as Salioman.

The Quezon police operated Salioman and proceeded to the place where the motorcycle was last seen.

Fabian positively identified his motorcycle because of a sticker on his motorcycle’s front fender and the certificate of registration.

Salioman was arrested and brought to the municipal police station. He was charged for violating Republic Act 10883 or the New Carnapping Act of 2016.
