Twenty-five fisherfolk in Puerto Princesa City will be the beneficiaries of a benefit- concert organized by the Catholic Youth Movement (CYM).
Efrel Piñero of the CYM said the concert dubbed as “Hashtag Mo, Himig Ko” aims to raise P300,000 to purchase fishing gears for their beneficiaries.
Piñero said the concert set for May 17 to 18 will feature environmental, family, love and inspirational songs.
“We have two shows each day, 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. So ngayon ‘yong gusto naming tulong na ibigay sa kanila is maka-sustain at maipamana pa nila sa mga anak nila or makabuhay sa pamilya,” she said.
She said the venue will be in the VJR Hall in the Provincial Capitol.
The fishermen are from the coastal barangays of Jacana, Bancao-Bancao, and Liberty.
Aside from the fish gears, the organization will also conduct livelihood training for the beneficiaries.
