It will be cloudy over the Luzon area due to a low-pressure area near Virac, Catanduanes, the state weather bureau stated Tuesday.

It stated that while the LPA is unlikely to develop into a storm, its combined impact with the southwest monsoon will bring rain showers to the Luzon area.

Meno Mendoza, senior weather specialist of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said that the LPA was located at 280 kilometers (km) east of Virac, Catanduanes.

The southwest monsoon or habagat is directly affecting the Luzon and Visayas area, he added.

PAGASA stated that no gale warnings are released over the seaboards of the country. The sea condition surrounding the province is moderate to rough.
