To address the worsening traffic problem in Puerto Princesa, the City Traffic Management Office (CTMO) has created a strike force.
Engr. Jonathan Magay, CTMO head said the special unit will got to areas where there is traffic congestion.
Magay said their focus is in the flow of traffic and not in enforcement.
“We already started our work for two weeks already and there have been significant improvement in traffic flow in many areas,” he said.
He added their focus is on Malvar Street where most of the congestion is happening with many drivers choosing the route during rush hours of 6am and 8pm.
What is worsening the traffic situation if the ongoing road widening project of the Department of Public Works and Highways, Magay said.
