A 44-year old jobless man was arrested for violation of illegal possession of firearms in Purok Zigzag-2, Barangay Luzviminda on Saturday evening.
P/SSgt. Robert Dagala, case investigator, identified the suspect as Ibrahim De Belen Briones.
Initial investigation showed that the suspect’s live-in partner reported to the City Mobile Force Company (CMFC) 2nd Manuever Platoon that the suspect was firing his gun indiscriminately.
The team led by P/Capt. Marfredo Dulatre immediately responded and saw the suspect firing in an unknown direction and pacified him.
Recovered from the suspect was an improvised shotgun, four pieces of unfired cartridge case and one piece fired cartridge case from the same caliber.
The suspect is presently detained at the Puerto Princesa City Police Station 2.
