The woman was identified in a spot report from Police Regional Office (PRO) MIMAROPA spokesperson P/Col. Socrates Faltado as Josephine Jimenez, a resident of Barangay Mabuhay.

She was saved when the police responded to a call about a burning store beside the cathedral at 11:48 p.m. on August 14.

The police report said their personnel immediately rushed to the area and rescued Jimenez who was still sleeping.

Jimenez sustained minor injuries, according to the report.

Investigators from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in Puerto Princesa City are still looking into the cause of the fire.
