The City Mobile Force Company (CMFC) is engaging in a two-day Pistol Marksmanship Refresher training for its 34 personnel at its conference hall at the Puerto Princesa City Police Office (PPCPO) which started Thursday.
P/Maj. Mhardie Azares, CMFC officer-in-charge, said the activity will include a lecture, demonstration, and practical exercises.
“Itong pistol marksmanship refresher training ay initiative ng ating unit ‘yan. Sa ngayong araw, first day is ‘yong lecture and demonstration then second day is ‘yong practical exercise, sila mismo ‘yong mag-assemble and live firing sa firing range ito na ‘yong practical application,” Azares said.
The CMFC is tasked with internal security operations (ISO) against the New People’s Army (NPA), support the law enforcement operations of the police stations and conduct special police operations and disaster response.
Azares said the training aims to equip and refresh the personnel with necessary knowledge and skills in handling their own pistols and to orient them with the proper usage, treatment in case of malfunctions.
More training-workshops are scheduled in the third quarter of the year.
“Marami pa tayong mga planong activities katulad nito sa mga susunod pa, about explosive awareness, sa riffle marksmanship, sa close quarter battle, may plan din tayong orientatiom don sa active shooter, in case may active shooter alam ng police ang gagawin natin dyan, ‘yan ‘yong ating mga future plans,” Azares said.
