The head of the city government’s Anti Crime Task Force (ACTF) disclosed Monday he has been receiving death threats from anonymous persons.

Earlier, Ligad posted on social media an incident caught on CCTV when two unidentified men riding on a motorcycle approached him suspiciously. He said the two initially gestured to hand him a package but withdrew and told him instead they were looking for an apartment to rent.

Ligad said he became suspicious about the two men and what their intention was when they approached him, and challenged them to come forward to explain their action.

Matutuwa tayo. Kaya nga tinatanong natin kung sino kaya ito,” Ligad said.

Ligad said he is prepared for any threat on his personal safety.

“When it comes, it comes pero syempre hindi rin tayo nagpapabaya, kaya nga medyo nagiging alerto tayo at nakikiramdam tayo,” he said.
