Khrais Bundal, president of the Puerto Princesa City Government Employees Association (PPCGEA) lights up the torch to commence the three-week Employees Sports Festival 2019.

The city government will hold a 3-week “Employees Sports Festival 2019” in line with the celebration of the 119th Philippine Civil Service (PSC) anniversary.

Joined by employees from the different departments at the city hall, the activity will start on Monday morning during the regular flag-raising ceremony.

Khrais B. Bundal, president of the Puerto Princesa City Government Employees Association (PPCGEA), told the media in an interview Monday that the activity is aimed at promoting physical fitness among the workers.

“Ang kagandahan nito, pati ang judiciary, ang ating city court, sila ay sasali rin sa ating basketball tournament. Meron tayong pahintulot buhat sa ating city administrator and sa ating personnel officer na puwede nating gamitin ‘yong oras na alas-tres ng hapon onwards,” said Bundal.

Bundal said they also desire to develop camaraderie among the employees from different departments.

Bundal said this daily sports activity will be until September 26.

“Ang mga palaro na gagawin ng ating mga empleyado ay ang tagisan sa basketball, sa volleyball, futsal, butsi, darts, ping-pong, game of the generals, at marami pa pong iba. Bawat araw ipa-paskil natin ‘yong mga schedule ng mga games,” said Bundal.

Employees were clustered into four teams namely the green, yellow, blue, and lavender.

Each team consists of around five to six departments.

Bundal said the City Government is in close coordination with the City Sports Department (CSD) for this event.
