The city government opened on Monday its Christmas Carnival-inspired display at the city hall complex, a move it hopes will decongest the Baywalk as a popular attraction for city revelers during the holidays.

The opening of the display to the public followed the announcement of winners of the recently held Christmas decoration contest.

Andrew Manlawe, Oplan Linis program manager and special events officer, said the display shall attract visitors from remote barangays.

“Binuksan natin ito sa publiko. ‘Yong mga malalayong barangays may mapupuntahan na malapit kasi ang primary goal of this event is to decongest the Puerto Princesa City Baywalk,” Andrew Manlawe, Oplan Linis program manager and special events officer said.
