A carpenter has been arrested by police authorities in El Nido town for allegedly attempting to rape a 24-year-old Chilean national inside her hotel room Sunday afternoon in Barangay Buena Suerte.
A report obtained by Palawan News from sources in the municipality identified the arrested suspect as John Wilson Fider Braganza, 24, a resident of Buena Suerte.
The incident reportedly took place around 2 a.m. inside the Chilean national’s rented room in Amadeus Inn also in Buena Suerte.
The spot report claimed in its investigation that at 2:20 a.m., the victim personally went to the El Nido town police office to seek help in the arrest of Braganza who attempted to rape her.
The Chilean national told police investigators that she struggled to free herself from Braganza and escaped.
