The provincial government said Friday it is prioritizing the completion of essential infrastructure projects in northern Palawan in anticipation of the rainy season.

Among these include three remaining bridges and the repair of the provincial road in Dumaran town with a budget allocation around P20 million from the province’s development fund budget.

Engr. Ranford Villegas of Provincial Engineering Office (PEO) said during the Usapang Pangkapayapaan, Usapang Pangkaunlaran (UP UP) Palawan virtual program of the Tactical Operations Wing West (TOW West) that they intend to complete these projects within the year.

“Dalawa o tatlo na lang na tulay ang ginagawa natin dyan from Paglaong to Sta. Teresita. Teresita at Itangil.

Villegas said that there is also an ongoing construction of farm-to-market roads in town.

Compared to the previous years, Villegas said that Dumaran is an identified priority area of the provincial government.

Purisima,” he said.

Aside from Dumaran, he said that there are also provincial road and critical area constructions in Taytay, particularly in Calaca, Binga, Liminangcong, Pamantulon.

He said that there will also a construction in Caruray in San Vicente and Magara, Dumarao, Abaroan in Roxas.

“May mga pondo na tayo d’yan i-implement na lang natin by next year at may mga ongoing. Lahat ‘yan ay may proyekto tayo,” Villegas said.
