A resident of Coron and a local of Culion were apprehended for suspected illegal drugs peddling in Barangay Osmeña, Culion early morning of Friday.

P/Maj. Thirz Starky Timbancaya, officer-in-charge of the Coron Municipal Police Station (MPS), identified the suspects as Daniel Bacolor Mayo, 45, a mechanic from Barangay 6, Coron, and Catherine Doldig Villar, 40, a local of Culion.

Police operatives of Coron and Culion stations, together with the Regional Mobile Force Batallion (RMFB) 1st Company, conducted the buy-bust operation targetting the two pushers allegedly long been monitored by them.

The operatives were able to buy one piece transparent sachet containing a substance believed to be shabu during the operation.

Upon receiving the money, the police immediately seized the suspects.

The police inspected them and found 28 more sachets believed to be containing shabu and some drug paraphernalia.
