BROOKE’S POINT, Palawan — Some P8.5 million have been distributed to frontliners in 18 barangays covering the fight against COVID-19 in this town.

Town mayor Mary Jean Feliciano said the amount will help ease the financial burden of the frontliners.

Frontliners who were able to complete serving of their duties during the ECQ and GCQ received P7,500 each, while received P5,000 each.

Baby Matarazal, a barangay councilor and frontliner against COVID-19 in Brooke’s Point, said she is thankful to the municipal government for recognizing their services in fighting the pandemic.

She said it was an unexpected “blessing” from the municipal government.
