The body of a man found floating near the coast of Barangay 2, Roxas on Thursday has remained unidentified, the municipal police said Friday.
P/SSgt. Julius Falcunaya said the unidentified person, believed to be between 20 to 25 years old may have been a passenger of a seafaring vessel. The cadaver was recovered by a Coast Guard patrol close to the shore of Barangay 2.
Falcunaya said there were no wounds or any injury on the body, which indicated the victim may have died from drowning. The body was also in an advanced state of decomposition.
“Sa ngayon, hinihintay pa ang pamilya para clearance nya sa punerarya kaso wala pa namang dumadating na pamilya dahil di nga makilala,” he said.
