The government recently inaugurated an P8 million Provincial Fisheries and Community Fish Landing facility and a new Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) building in Barangay Wawa, Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro.
The BFAR’s three-storey office is a prototype that costs P5 million, while the Community Fish Landing (CFL) costs P3 million.
Roberto Abrera, Assistant Regional Director of BFAR, said Monday their facility in Oriental Mindoro is one of its kind, a combination three-storey office and a fish landing in one location. The fish landing is equipped with storage facilities and stainless steel stalls.
