The confirmatory result of the Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) returnee who was found to be reactive to the antibody associated with COVID-19 during his rapid diagnostic testing (RDT) has returned negative during tests conducted by the Ospital ng Palawan (ONP) laboratory center.

Mayor Abraham Ibba said Sunday that the male patient’s result came out negative on Saturday (June 6) afternoon.

He said the OFW returnee who arrived on May 28 from Manila remains in their temporary treatment and monitoring facility in Bataraza and will continue the remaining days of his quarantine.

Malakas ang kanyang antibodies,” Ibba said.

Provincial Health Office (PHO) chief Dr. Mary Ann Navarro said earlier in a virtual press briefing that the RDT on the OFW returnee showed antibodies that may have fought off a previous infection.
