The local government of Bataraza will soon open its own hotel to tourists to generate livelihood opportunities and income for the municipality.

Mayor Abraham Ibba told Palawan News that the two-storey Bataraza Business Suite will be a source of pride of his town.

The cost for the project which is over P22 million was sources from the fund of the municipal government.

The income from the government-operated hotel will go directly to the coffers of the municipal government.

Once opened, it will also provide employment for local residents, Ibba said.

Ibba said the hotel will be a luxury business suite which will have a restaurant located in the first floor.

He said the hotel is just one of the priority projects of his administration.

“Isa lang po ito sa ating maraming pang naka-line up na proyekto na magpapaunlad sa ating minamahal na bayan ng Bataraza, ” he said.
