Some 29 uniforms and a computer unit with two printers were provided by the Rio Tuba Nickel Mining Corporation (RTNMC) to Barangay Culandanum, Bataraza to support the barangay and health sector.
Community organizer Vannesa Apilan said that the uniforms were given to barangay health workers (BHWs) from the social development and management program (SDMP) allocation of the mining company to be easily identified in their working area.
Parang scrub suit uniform ito with pants,” she said.
Madalang lang ito (nari-request),” she added.
The RTNMC allocated P20,000 for the project for the health sector.
The company also turned over a set of computer with two printers which is now utilize for the issuance barangay clearances as identity proof in national ID registration.
It will also replace the old unit used by the barangay for years after the turn over on August 18.
Apilan mentioned that RTNMC allocated P80,000 for the project.
