The Apostolic Vicariate of Taytay (AVT) said it has no list of candidates yet to endorse but stands that officials who should be elected in local and national positions must be into environment protection and not political dynasties.
In an interview with Palawan News during the inauguration of the Northern Palawan Provincial Hospital, Taytay apostolic vicar Bishop Broderick Pabillo stated that he does not know yet who will compete in May 2022 polls.
However, he wishes that those who will be elected in Palawan must be for the protection of the environment, against political dynasties, and against corruption.
“Wala pa, hindi pa alam kung sinong tatakbo. Ang hinihiling namin dito sa Palawan ay mapangalagaan ang kalikasan. Iyong sa national ang tinitingnan namin ay hindi political dynasty at talagang iwasan na ang corruption,” he said.
In a previous story, Bishop Pabillo also expressed his frustration over the reported overpriced medical supplies from the Bayanihan funds.
He said that funds should have been allocated to poor Filipinos who are enduring the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic.
