A man was stabbed and wounded by his friend after a heated argument erupted between them regarding an episode of the prime time television series “Ang Probinsyano” they were watching online in Barangay Bintuan, Coron, Saturday night.

Police Captain Ric Ramos, spokesperson of the Palawan Provincial Police Office (PPO identified the victim as Jeffrey Renson Mendoza, 26, a resident of the same barangay, while the suspect was named as Erwin Donde Pulilan, 24, a construction worker from Brgy. Tara.

In a phone interview with P/Maj. Thirz Starky Timbancaya, chief of Coron Municipal Police Station (MPS), said that the victim and the suspect were having a drinking session and watching the show on the internet when they had an argument that led to the stabbing incident.

After stabbing Mendoza, Pulilan rushed him to the Coron District Hospital but was later transferred to Culion Hospital for further medication.

Timbancaya said both have now settled their issue. The victim is still recovering.
